chose Steamers to record his new cd "Live at Steamers". The L.A. born Ramirez began playing vibraphone at the age of 16 by listening to recordings of Cal Tjader and Milt Jackson. Through this
pianist / vibraphonist /composer/arranger’s extensive career, he has worked with many jazz and Latin greats including Poncho Sanches, Celia Cruz, Willie Bob, Eddie Cano and Tito Puente. The Fred Ramirez Latin Jazz ensemble has been a favorite at many local festivals including the Pasadena Community Playboy Jazz, Fullerton Art and Jazz Fest and the KLON Latin Jazz Caravan.
